Who Are We
Project 4 Youth Empowerment is a community interest company who support young people and families.
We assist people affected by or in danger of being affected by a range of issues such as serious youth violence, school exclusions or those who are NEET (not in education, employment or training). This support comes in many forms including offering advice, advocacy, one on one or group mentoring, or signposting to other professional services.
Our team have many years of experience of working with young people in a variety of settings ranging from youth work, teaching, specialised gang work, outreach work and have experience of working with young people with SEN (special educational needs).
‘At the end of the day, it’s not about what you have or even what you’ve accomplished. It’s about what you’ve done with those accomplishments. It’s about who you’ve lifted up, who you’ve made better. It’s about what you’ve given back’ – Denzel Washington

What We Do
— Training & Education
Young people who are NEET (Not in education, employment or training) can be referred to us directly to engage in FREE courses which will aid their development, with a view to employment, education or training. Our e-learning courses can be done remotely and will provide the young person with the skills to gain employment via Business Administration, Business Management and Customer Service. We also offer FREE CSCS courses for young people who want to pursue a career in the construction or trade industry.
We support young people to build CV’s and provide them with interview skills.
— Advocacy and Mentoring
Our mentoring programme has proven results. We engage with young people in a variety of ways, more importantly, we listen and understand the language of the young people and work with them to ensure that we set clear, measurable and achievable goals.
— Local Authority Support
— Workshops
— Activities
— Parenting Support
Parenting is not easy, we don’t get a manual for each child and sometimes there are serious problems that our young people run into that means parents need help. We offer support in various ways, including advice, advocacy and signposting in areas such as school exclusions, social services, housing, SEN and other issues affecting families. Our safe spaces are a great way to get help or just connect with others who may have experienced or still be facing some of the same issues as you.
Impact Stories
Providing Relief - Happy Parent
I am more than happy with the support that I have been receiving from P4YE, and cannot believe how much difference they have managed to achieve in such a short space of time, when I contacted them I was at my lowest ebb, the support I have received has been vital for me and especially my son, who has built a close bond with P4YE staff in such a short space of time.
Changing Lives — Delighted Parent
After my son was a victim of a sustained assault and received multiple stab wounds, with potentially life changing injuries, I came into contact with P4YE. My son, and my family have since received extensive support from P4YE in the form of 1:1 sessions, and mentoring. My son also received support in the form of P4YE attending court hearings and by getting him into a weekly job club, which led to him obtaining a recognised qualification with TfL.
Helping Others — Relieved Parent
I want to thank P4YE for setting up this page, the immediate response I got from staff at P4YE was a breath of fresh air, they were knowledgeable & offered great advice which helped me to deal with the school system & to help my son get back on track. P4YE came down to legacy in Croydon to help us register our son there & I feel they went over & beyond for people who are struggling with all these systems. I cannot thank P4YE enough.
